Too often, production companies are called upon at the last minute to produce content for nonprofits without first having a deep understanding of the unique goals driving the organization at that moment in its history.  Then, a year later, a different production company steps in and hurriedly shifts the look and feel of the storytelling in another direction.  What happens over time?  That nonprofit’s library of content starts to feel random, scattershot.  The organization’s supporters soon become confused and – even worse – detached.

At Kinetic, we pledge an extended commitment to every client to produce a series of videos and we begin by carefully studying your organization’s mission and specific goals for that particular year.   We then develop a unifying narrative for all of the content and a release calendar synced with your most important upcoming events and launches.  As a result, every video or PSA feels like a vital piece of a larger whole and this deepens audience engagement over time and their emotional investment in your cause. OUR FOUR-STEP PROCESS

STEP #1: DISCOVERY – our team begins the process by focusing our initial efforts on intensive research that sees us study your history and mission, meet your team leaders, and – most importantly – understand your unique goals for this year.

STEP #2: NARRATIVE – with a deep understanding of your goals, we then begin honing in on a singular narrative – an overarching theme and throughline – to unify all of your new content.  We’ll propose creative ideas until we arrive at a narrative that you’re truly excited to shape your stories around.

STEP #3: STRATEGY – now we define with you how many videos, short films and PSAs should be produced, what length for each, and what specific story each individual piece will tell.  We also identify with you the ideal release date for each to sync with key events and launches.

STEP #4: PRODUCTION – with a resonating, overarching narrative in place and a release strategy defined, now we’re perfectly placed to pick up our cameras and begin production.  Each shoot will be followed by a period of intense editing and revision, ensuring that each piece looks exceptional and all key deadlines are met.
